3 Most Memorable Things to Do in Bali for Couples

3 things to do in bali for couples living lavishlee

Our sweet 16th gets a whole lot of spice as we celebrate our anniversary in Bali. This idyllic tropical paradise offered us a delightful mix of relaxation, adventure, and romance. If you’re planning a romantic getaway, Bali is an excellent choice, especially for your anniversary or honeymoon.

There are plenty of things to do in Bali for couples. That makes Bali a great anniversary and honeymoon destination. We’re narrowing it down to the top 3 reasons why we fell in love with the romantic places in Bali for honeymoon.

Accommodations: Go the Extra Mile to Make You Feel Special

Cold drinks, fragrant leis, and fruit baskets welcome you whenever and wherever you spend a vacation in the tropics. But our accommodations in Bali definitely went the extra mile to make us feel truly special during our stay.

Is Bali a Romantic Destination?

Yes, of course! Our first stop was the posh St. Regis, one of the Best Bali Resorts for Couples, located along the pristine Nusa Dua beach. As a Marriott resort, you won’t expect anything less than luxury here.

To say that the villa we stayed in was spacious is an understatement. The master’s bedroom had a king-size bed, a walk-in closet, and a HUGE marble bathroom with double vanities and a shower area fit for a king. The villa also has a kitchenette equipped with a full-size fridge, stovetop, microwave, and almost all the basic cooking and dining essentials. A maid’s quarters with its own toilet and bath certainly put this room on royalty level.

Outside, we had a cabana and pool all to ourselves. We also had private access to the bigger lagoon right next to our villa. The next morning, we were given a great start with a floating breakfast.

We also spent a few nights at Villa Cella Bella, a beautiful resort tucked on a cliff in the middle of a jungle in Ubud. We weren’t fans of the flying insects and croaking frogs that came out at night, but we loved the sights and the peaceful atmosphere.

Perched on the cliff’s edge, our suite had a panoramic view of the river valley and the jungle scenery. It has a balcony where you can enjoy sumptuous meals or a cup of soothing tea. It also has an al fresco bathroom—yup, a bathroom with no windows overlooking the valley below. That alone already gave us a one-of-a-kind experience. But an outdoor copper bathtub gave us another bathing experience like no other.

Villa Cella Bella promised us a once-in-a-lifetime vacation experience, and they fulfilled it. Knowing that it was our wedding anniversary, they treated us with their signature flower-filled pool and floating breakfast. They’re well-known for covering their infinity pool with millions of petals to design a custom greeting for guests. But what made us appreciate them more was knowing that the process takes more than a couple of hours to finish.

We were also able to get some great Instagram content done at this hotel. Since we also run a travel page on Instagram, filming unique and creative content is always a plus. The hotel helped us set up and create every idea we came up with. Some of the content we shot was the flower pool, movie night, a pool filled with handmade lanterns, a cliff swing, and a floating breakfast. These things all cost extra but were way worth the additional charge. From carrying our luggage down (and up again) when we arrived to ensuring we enjoyed every minute we spent there, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special.

There’s Always Something to Do, Whatever Your Interests Are

Bali is a place to relax and rejuvenate. But it’s also a place to party and have an adventure. With varied activities for diverse interests, it’s a destination everyone can enjoy. Since we only had a few days to spend in this tropical paradise, we decided to try the must-do activities recommended for tourists in Bali, Indonesia.

A traditional Balinese massage is something you shouldn’t miss when in Bali. We had ours at Zahra Spa, a modern spa and wellness facility at the heart of Nusa Dua. The spa offers different types of massages, including Shiatsu, aromatherapy, and warm stone. Aside from invigorating massages, each client is pampered with a welcome drink, a flower foot bath, a cup of calming tea, and a refreshing shower.

What is the Most Romantic Part of Bali?

Since we were in Bali, we had to join the fun and party at the world’s best beach club. We spent a night at Finn’s, enjoying the music, booze, food, and company. Finns Beach Club has a couple of swim-up pool bars, four pools, six restaurants, and nine bars, so this is definitely the best area to stay in Bali for couples to hang out. But make sure to get there before nightfall to enjoy the stunning sunset and oceanfront views.

Another item on travelers’ bucket lists is the scenic Kanto Lampo Waterfall. So we just had to go there and get cool shots for our Insta. The place doesn’t offer much space to explore, but the cascading water on stepped rock formations makes an excellent background for videos and photographs. We were there early, so we got some pretty neat shots under the falls.

What Should You Not Miss in Bali?

The Ubud Monkey Forest was just a few minutes away from Kanto Lampo, so we also checked it out. The thought of being surrounded by wild monkeys that could jump and bite you at any moment was scary. Fortunately, we left the place unscathed and had a pretty good time. We even got some close-ups taken with a friendly monkey. If you plan to go here, follow the rules, which include not looking the monkeys in the eye and not provoking them in any way.

What is Bali Best Known For?

Asian food is known for its rich and savory flavors. Every bite is an explosion of different spices, flavors, and textures in your mouth. You’re sure to love the food. Since we were celebrating our anniversary, we splurged on food to get the best dining experience in Bali. And we’re glad we did.

We booked a tunnel table at the Koral Restaurant to get the best views of the underground aquarium. The interiors with nautical themes were amazing, the food even more so. The menu included grilled lobster, wagyu tenderloin, and caviar, served creatively and innovatively.

From the depths of the sea, we went to an underground cave the next night. The Cave Restaurant is equally luxurious when it comes to interiors and service. The food wasn’t our favorite here, but we loved the ambiance, so it made up for the meal. It depends on your taste buds and your interest in unique foods to determine if it is the right place for you. But it is still worth experiencing.

Finally

Spending a few days in Bali was truly a wonderful and memorable way to celebrate our 16th anniversary. We experienced new adventures, met new friends, got some much-needed pampering, and, most importantly, spent lots of us-time that reminded us just how much we love and adore each other.
